Parfumerie Fragonard

We draw inspiration from our visit to the Parfumerie Fragonard in the south of France. Founded in 1926, Fragonard offers the rare privilege of participating in a unique olfactory journey into the world of fragrance. Here you can step behind the scenes and see antique objects that tell the history of perfume from antiquity to the present day.

Perfumery objects are showcased alongside exotic paintings and antique Provençal furniture. A tour includes a visit to the perfumer’s laboratory; the distillery, the maceration and filtering studios and enfleurage rooms where the evocative compositions of rose, lavender, orange blossom, cedar and bergamot waft through the air.

You can test your nose with a professional perfume maker who knows all the tricks of the trade. They also offer an apprentice perfume maker experience where you can create a scent from aromatic citrus and orange blossom.
